Get out there and write!

Hey, it's Heather who doesn't write again. I am 5 days past the day I said I would post weekly (Friday). Shame on me! Nope, not shame on me! You shouldn't punish yourself for missing a personal goal which you achieve at a later date! So, I didn't get this written on Friday, well guess what, I am posting twice this week than.

So, for this post, I want to talk about the podcast I help produce in conjunction with Rob Jolles and the Maryland Writers' Association. I have it here on my website so you can check it out if you haven't yet, but it's called A Book Finds You! and it is for anyone who writes or wants to write a book. I am definitely not biased when I talk about it because I'm only editing and recording the intro and outro. Our host, Rob does all the heavy lifting by interviewing authors who provide so much valuable information for writers new and seasoned.

I get to listen to every single episode, because as a podcast manager, that is part of my job. With that, I get to hear every juicy tidbit that authors share, and I have to tell you, they provide some really good helpful ideas!

We just did our 50th episode and for it we talked with Deborah Kevin, the dynamic founder and chief inspiration officer of Highlander Press. She discusses her latest release, Shelf Life, and provides the one thing that every author seems to steer away from: MARKETING!!

I'm not going to go into too many details because, of course, I want you to listen to the episode! But I will tell you that she provides some free and extremely minimal cost-effective ideas to help you market yourself and your book! So make sure and listen to that episode and see if she offers anything that might help you!
