Heather Flaherty Doesn't Write

So even though the name of this site is Heather Flaherty Writes as you can see, I barely write anything here! That's not to say I don't write at all, but the writing I do seems to be offline or bite sized copy that I have put into social media posts. Do you think that makes me a writer? Well, I do.

I completed a manuscript last year for my MFA in creative writing. That has been what I have been working on to polish up for an agent to look at. In between that I have been editing podcast episodes and keeping up with information that I get to compact into social media posts to get the important words out to those who want it the most: writers!

So, this is clearly my yearly update. As you can tell, I have few posts on my site. I need to change that. So, I am.

I'm going to start trying to post on here once a week. I will write about something. An update, a short story, perhaps discuss something I encountered that is writing related over the week. Something will get smacked onto this page every week. How can I keep to this commitment? Where's the accountability you ask? Well, unless someone reads this, I guess technically there is none! Hah! But I hope someone reads this. Even if one person does, it might help me keep myself accountable and encourage me to get back into everyday writing.
